ONS Pattern Library

June - November 2014

Together with a splendid bunch of people at cxpartners, I helped the Office for National Statistics build a pattern library to underpin the alpha and beta release of their highly-lauded new website.

Project Brunel

September 2013 – April 2014

My final year uni project. I designed and implemented an algorithm for finding better journeys for medium-to-long-distance train travel in the form of a web application. I took into account a variety of factors related to journey pleasantness, instead of focusing on a single metric like price, which all current train booking services do.

Gulping your Broccoli

February 2015 & July 2015

In 2015 I delivered a talk twice on modern JavaScript build tools, covering the different build tools available and some more advanced build tools optimisations the 'hello world' examples rarely cover.

Bristol Mediation

September 2013 – April 2014

For a final year university module, my team helped a local charity design and build a tool to organise their volunteers.

Post-preprocessing

July 2015

I spoke at the local meetup SassxSW on when to consider avoiding the use of Sass, and why.
